Size & Care Guide
A saree is unstitched and draped, so it isn't sized like regular clothing — one length fits everyone. Here's what comes in the box, and how to keep your silk looking its best.

Saree Size Chart
Every saree we ship is approximately 6 metres in total length, which already includes a 0.8 metre unstitched blouse piece — it is not an extra add-on.
| Total saree length | Approx. 6 metres |
|---|---|
| Blouse piece (included) | Approx. 0.8 metres, unstitched |
| Drape length (saree body) | Approx. 5.2 metres |
| Fit | One size — draped, not stitched to a body measurement |
The blouse piece is sent as raw, unstitched fabric so it can be tailored to your own measurements by a local tailor. Minor variation of a few centimetres is normal with handwoven and hand-cut fabric.
Fabric Care Instructions
Handle your silk gently to keep its colour, weave, and finish looking new for longer.
- Hand wash preferred — hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent.
- Soft wash only — do not machine wash, wring, or scrub the fabric.
- No dry clean — dry cleaning solvents can dull the silk and fade the zari/border work.
- No bleach — bleach or harsh stain removers will damage the fabric and colour.
- Dry flat or on a padded hanger in the shade — avoid direct, prolonged sunlight.
- Iron on a low-medium setting, ideally on the reverse side or with a thin cloth in between.
- Store folded in a soft muslin or cotton cloth rather than a plastic cover, and refold occasionally to avoid permanent crease lines.
